About James Esh

Thank you for taking the time to visit this site.  Here is a little more about me.

James EshWell..   I guess this is the place where I can tell you a little more about myself.  I have provided my “bio” below.  It seems little ‘esoteric’ to me so I wanted to expand on it a little more here since this is my personal site.  I don’t believe you can be summed up by your past experiences.  I believe they provide the “hue” of your life but do not define your life.  I have been fortunate in my life.  People make their own choices in life.  They choose to be defined by the past or allow it to shape their future.  I have chosen the latter.  I still choose the same regarding my recent past.  I feel my childhood was probably typical of most Americans from a small town in the south.  I had a loving mother and while we did not see eye to eye all the time, she worked hard to make my life better.  I have a younger brother (by about 2 and half years) and an adorable niece and nephew.  After finishing high school, I joined the Marines.  I originally wanted to be a JAG lawyer (military lawyer) but decided against that after my enlisted term.  Don’t take that the wrong way, my enlisted term was great.  I received numerous awards during my service to include three Naval Achievement medals for work I had done.  Each of my awards was a direct result of thinking outside of the box.  While this is “my wall,” I am not going to go into depth here.  I am extremely proud of my accomplishments and look forward to making more in the future.

After the Marines, I went to school.  My undergraduate degree was in information systems.  After my undergraduate studies, I decided to continue pursue  my dream of practicing law.  I went to law school and took the Texas State Bar Exam.  I passed on my first try.  The Bar Exam was one of the worst exams you could ever take.  I don’t plan on going into it here but suffice to say I had no desire to take it more than once.

I was hired by a small firm here in the Dallas Metroplex.  After leaving that firm, I went into business with a colleague and friend of mine.
